Morning Recovery's donation to USC to drive innovation in dihydromyricetin (DHM) research

It all started when our co-founder, Sisun Lee, went on a trip to South Korea — a land where the work hard, play hard lifestyle is the norm. After a late night out with friends, he came across bottled tonics promised to end rough mornings after drinking.

Amazed by how effective they were, he dove into research and connected with Dr. Jing Liang, a pharmacology professor at USC. Together, they created the first version of Morning Recovery and the results were overwhelmingly positive. After launching on Indiegogo and raising over $250,000 from customers all over the world, he realized he was onto something big and we’ve been growing ever since.

Partnership with USC.

In 2018, we donated $230,000 to form the 82 Labs Inc., Research Fund. Led by our advisors, Dr. Jing Liang and Dr. Daryl Davies, the team will use this donation to drive innovation in using dihydromyricetin (DHM) to treat Alzheimer’s, Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and other anxiety disorders.
